The Old Map Collection of the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan (GSI) includes seventeenth-century astronomical charts to nineteenth century district maps of Edo, created by both Europeans and Japanese people. GSI’s Japanese website offers modern survey maps and aerial photographs <http://www.gsi.go.jp/>.
