About us

Since fiscal year 2005, the National Institutes for the Humanities (NIHU) has continuously promoted the utilization and sharing of research and information resources related to human culture studies.
This resource guide has been publicly available under the title “国際リンク集. English Resource for Japanese Studies and Humanities in Japan” since 2015.
Starting in fiscal year 2025, NIHU will establish a new framework in collaboration with the European Association of Japanese Resource Specialists (EAJRS), working jointly with resource specialists active in Europe and Japan to edit and update the resource list.
This collaboration follows on earlier community-driven efforts, such as a 2018 project initiated within the EAJRS network to collaboratively compile and share databases relevant to Japanese studies.
The new framework continues this spirit of shared knowledge and cross-regional cooperation.
