Deutsches Institut für Japanstudien, or German Institute for Japanese Studies, is a German research institution for Japanese studies in the humanities and social sciences. The institute has a collection on German-Japanese relations, especially on POW camps during WWI (Bando-Sammlung). It also provides online resources, most of which are in German, and a directory of German institutions and societies related to Japan
